Our Story

In 1934, Lyle and Ina Gray started a small family egg farm and grading station in Ridgetown, Ontario, which grown into one of Canada’s leading egg organizations. Over time, we expanded beyond Ontario and shell eggs to include trusted brands under our umbrella, such as Golden Valley Foods in B.C., Sparks Eggs in Alberta, and our value-added and industrial partners EggSolutions, Global Egg, EggSolutions Vanderpol’s, and EggSolutions EPIC. Together, we bring Canadians a full range of safe, high-quality products, from farm-fresh shell eggs to innovative egg products and industrial solutions.

Today, we’re proud to be P&H Foods Inc., a Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) company. P&H is a Canadian, family-owned company founded in 1909, serving farmers and customers with grain merchandising, crop inputs, flour milling, and animal feed mills. With a national network of facilities that connects farmers and customers across Canada, and relationships that extend to markets around the world, P&H brings its agri-food business strength and expertise to everything we do at P&H Foods Inc..

This acquisition represents the natural next step in a long-standing relationship between P&H and L.H. Gray & Son. This partnership began in when P&H first entered into business with the L.H. Gray group of companies. Over the years, our shared commitment to Canadian farmers, quality, and innovation has laid the foundation for this next chapter.
