Our Ontario shell egg division, Gray Ridge Eggs Inc. recently welcomed egg farming partners and guests to its Listowel facility for a private open house celebrating a major expansion and the installation of a new state of the art Moba 530 egg grading machine. With this expansion, the Listowel facility is now the largest egg grading station in Canada, marking a significant milestone for the company and the Canadian egg industry.
The event offered guided tours of the expanded grading station, giving guests a firsthand look at the advanced technology designed to enhance efficiency, food safety, and egg quality. Attendees also connected over lunch and heard remarks from Dan Veldman from Egg Farmers of Ontario, Lisa Thompson Ontario Minister of Rural Affairs, Matthew Rae Perth-Wellington MPP, and Scott Brookshaw President of P&H Foods Inc.
The Moba 530 represents a significant investment in modern egg grading technology, supporting Gray Ridge Eggs’ commitment to innovation and partnership with Canadian egg farmers. The expansion reflects the company’s focus on meeting growing demand while maintaining the highest standards in food safety, quality, and operational excellence.
“This investment reinforces our commitment to our egg farming partners and to the future of the Canadian egg industry,” said Scott Brookshaw, President of P&H Foods Inc. “By expanding our Listowel facility and installing the Moba 530, we are proud to operate the largest egg grading station in Canada, enabling us to deliver high-quality eggs with greater efficiency and sustainability.”
Gray Ridge Eggs is proud to work closely with Canadian egg farmers and industry partners to support a strong, reliable food supply. The Listowel expansion is part of P&H Foods’ broader strategy to invest in infrastructure and technology that strengthens the agriculture and food sector across Canada.
